Why is my connection to Abjects refused
with "AKILLed" or "K-lined" messages?
The following are reasons for earning yourself a ban on Abjects. Spam, more than 3 connections to a single host, flooding, mass
messaging, abusive behaviour, sending users virii, botnets, connecting
with an insecure version of mIRC, or being connected while infected with
a virus or Trojan. If you have been klined, the Abjects KLine team would be happy to review
your status. Just email KLine@Abjects.net with as much information as possible about the ban.
Be sure to include your host, nickname, and akill message. The message
can usually be found in your status window after the ban occurs.

In order to begin the server link process, you must fill out Abjects link request form. After filling out this form, you should hear from a Abjects administrator. All link requests are
forwarded to the Routing Team and administrators for review. All other
requests/info can be obtained on Abjects in #Routing

When I connect to Abjects, my firewall
shows the server trying to connect to my TCP ports. Why?
In order to ensure that you are not running an open proxy, the Abjects
IRC server that you connect to attempts to initiate several kinds of
proxy sessions with you. You should not worry about this, and in fact
can ignore it. You only need to worry if you have an open SOCKS, HTTP,
WinGate, or other form of proxy. It has become necessary for Abjects to
be more aggressive about open proxies and scan for many new types we
never checked before. Unfortunately, open proxies are used maliciously
to flood, harass, and attack IRC. We appreciate your cooperation in
securing the Internet and ridding the world of open proxies.
